It's going to be a short review :)
When a soon to be graduated literature student, Anastasia Steel went to interviewed a young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she never knew that this beautiful guy could make her life upside down. Anastasia is a naive young woman, a virgin, an inexperienced beauty with so much fortunes. How could she not? The interview that should be done by her best friend, Kate, ended up making her and the handsome Christian Grey being in a complicated relationship. Christian Grey didn't do the love thing, but Anastasia wants more. And the talks goes on and on, with the sex within.
There's nothing much for me to describe this story because this book's basically has no plot (or not, I'm not quiet sure) I did give it two stars, yes but it's mainly for the beautiful cover (laughs). The Heroine, though, I don't think I want give her that much credits since the only things she did was crying, drooling over Christian, being angry with him and then forgive him in a matter of second because Christian's such a Greek God that she can't ever resist. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm actually enjoy reading this book, well, kind of. I do like Christian Grey, he's the man with power and I can be comfortable being with him if only he's "normal". Hehehe. Bad guy always has special place in my heart but this one's too cheesy, it ruins the bad-guy image I've planted on him. The one big thing that makes me want to banged my head on a wall is the writing, really. It's just so repetitious, I felt slightly dizzy. I don't even bother to put some quotes in this review.

Despite it's being a badly written BDSM novel (as most reader says) I do like some parts of it, such as when they're eating. Christian always told her to eat, he demands it, sure, but I can see his kindness at that time, I don't know why. When they're took a bath together Christian would soaped her, I found it romantic and caring. But there is one really disturbing scene in this book, like oh my God! I can't tolerate that because it's beyond disgusting and I thought it was dangerous to have sex during your period (eventhough some articles I read online proved me wrong.) I don't care, it feels so wrong in so many levels.
Will I read the second book? Yes. As much as I hate E. L. James' writing I still need to know what happens next since the end of this book's kept me hanging. And I don't like it.
xo, Puspita Sanri.
