Veronika is a 24 year-old woman living in an almost perfect life. She's pretty, got a nice job on a library and her parents love her wholeheartedly. What more could she asked for, a husband, perhaps? But no, she has nothing to do with her life anymore. One time she decided that her life was dull enough, there was no meaning at all for her existence and she was tired with her routines. She woke up in the morning, took a shower, had a breakfast at the same cafe, got her job done at the exact same time everyday. She would go to hooked up with whoever guy she met in a pub, slept with them and went back to her apartment. It was always like this, she's someone who hides behind her four walls doing nothing much except her daily routines. She realized that someday her youth will gone and it would be downhill all the way. The world is a cruel place to live in and she has no power to make things right. Thus, she took a lot of sleeping pills to killed herself. Because jumping from the bridge is troublesome, and she didn't want her parents to deal with such terrifying dead of her only daughter.

Hi! It's been a while since the last time I write something here (laughs). I know it's late but I want to try to posted something that is not a book review but still related to books so yeah, here is the book haul post. I got plenty of cheap books last month, I can't be any happier. So here they are..

Rachel selalu mendapatkan apa yang Ia mau. Perhatian dari teman-teman, kasih sayang dari Ibunya dan pekerjaan dengan prospek yang cerah sebagai Editor di Sekai Publishing. Ia tidak pernah bersyukur dan menghargai apa yang Ia miliki sampai akhirnya Ia kehilangan itu semua. Karena kesalahan fatal (menurut atasannya di Sekai Pubishing) Rachel akhirnya dipecat dari pekerjaannya dan menjadi depresi. Rachel bahkan sempat berpikir untuk bunuh diri. Ia pun hanya bisa diam dan memecahkan gelas-gelas yang ada dirumahnya tanpa bisa berbuat apa-apa, hanya merenungi nasibnya yang malang. Ia mengeluh berulang kali kepada sahabat-sahabatnya, dan menuduh mereka sebagai sahabat yang tidak pernah peduli, padahal mereka telah cukup sabar menghadapi Rachel dan memberikan berbagai macam solusi, tetapi Rachel tidak pernah mau mendengarkan.
